In German folklore, the term "Belsnickeling" refers to Belsnickel, a companion to Santa Claus. Belsnickel is often thought of as the serious counterpart to the cheerful Saint Nick. 

These Belsnickle are wearing a ginger orange coat, complete with silver fur. Their contents contain mache and velvet.
